The Role

  • Responsibile for menu planning, preparationand daily specials
  • Complete knowledge of various methods of cooking of a variety of dishes (Hot/Cold/Pastries/etc) and competent in dealing with multiple orders.
  • Determine the quantity of food items and mise-en-place to be prepared so to ensure maximum control of wastage food cost
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or puchase food; selectand develop receipes; standardized production receipes to ensure consistent quality; establish presentation technqiue and quality standards
  • Monitor and control stock levels
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel
  • Ensure food hygiene and kitchen safety; ensure the kitchen is compliant with regulatory requirements

Talent Profile

  • Possess relevant Culinary Vocational Certificates
  • Possess Food Hygiene License
  • Minmum 2 years of experience in similar settings
  • Good leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills
