Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta is honoured to have been a part of South Korean pianist Hee Ah Lee’s recent trip to Jakarta. Here for her ‘Dream the Impossible Dream’ concert on 8 August, the famous four-fingered pianist has touched millions worldwide with her music and story of triumph against adversity.
Born with severe disabilities, including only two fingers on each hand, no legs below his kneecaps, and mild brain damage, Hee Ah Lee started piano lessons at seven. Her diligence and perseverance paying off, Hee is now an award-winning pianist who has made more than 200 appearances around the world. She also released her first album two years ago, and this marks the 24-year-old’s second concert in Jakarta. After spending a week at Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta, Hee Ah Lee continued her Indonesian visit by winging it to Bali for a charity concert. She also plans to have a concert in her hometown for a peace mission between South Korea and North Korea.
