Globally Responsible practices to preserve our environment and honor our communities

Each of our North American Pan Pacific properties strive for innovation and leadership in the areas of operational efficiency and the extension of product life cycle through the PanEarth program’s vision and philosophy. The culture created at each property is one of supporting local communities through donations and volunteer time. Day to day practices of the PanEarth program work towards minimizing our overall impact on the environment.

At Pan Pacific, we are committed to providing genuine care, unique innovation and having customized services available. Our PanEarth program helps to enhance the experience that our guests encounter at all of our North American properties.

Guests are given the option to reduce their environmental footprint through various practices such as recycling and amenity donations while still receiving the ultimate in service and product experience.

Zero Impact Practices
The Zero Impact Practices at Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle offer guests the option of balancing the environmental impact of their hotel stays, meetings and events.

Hotel Stays
For only fifty cents per night, guests can match the electricity use of 25 kilowatt hours for a one night's stay in a guest room at the hotel. Guests who contribute fifty cents will support the generation of clean wind energy. For guests who opt to give $1.00 offsetting 50 kWh, the Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle will match the donation. The wind energy credits for this program are sourced from wind farms in Washington State and North Dakota.

Meetings & Events
Whether it is a board meeting or a wedding, Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle tries to make minimizing the environmental impact of your event as easy as possible. Working with Seattle-based OneEnergy Renewables, we have developed various event options to help make your event carbon neutral. These options take into account the number of people attending your event, facility use, catering and local travel.

When you offset your event with the Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle you will receive an acknowledgement certificate, which you can display at your event, and/or at your organization.  Please contact our sales and catering team at 206 654 5005 or email panearth@panpacific.com to learn more about our PanEarth Events.

By choosing one of our Zero Impact event options, you are supporting the generation of clean wind energy (with Renewable Energy Certificates, or RECs) and carbon reductions (verified by the Climate Action Reserve).  In addition, the 10% of the revenues from this program will support Food Lifeline, a local nonprofit organization supporting hunger relief.

Quotes from our Community Partners

“Corporate social responsibility isn’t just a buzzword at Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle. “We are truly grateful for our partnership with Pan Pacific Hotel during an economic time that leaves more people at risk of hunger and more hunger relief programs searching for the resources needed to feed these individuals.  The generosity of Pan Pacific Hotel and its patrons over the past two years is helping Food Lifeline make great strides toward its goal of ending hunger.”

Linda Nageotte
President and CEO
Food Lifeline

“Pan Pacific Hotel understands that small gestures make a huge difference. The YWCA is grateful for their contributions to our meal program at Angeline’s Center for Homeless Women and also the donation of toiletries, which go to good use in our Personal Care Center. These gestures show compassion and kindness, and contribute to life with dignity for the homeless and very low-income women who come to YWCA Angeline’s.”
