Condé Nast Traveler readers vote Pan Pacific Whistler in 2 of top 15 Spots
(Whistler, BC) Not one spot, but TWO! Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside AND Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre both claim their places with the top resorts in Canada in the 2013 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Survey.
Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside was named the eleventh best resort in Canada while Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre claimed the twelfth place spot on the list of best resorts in the nation. Three other Whistler properties also found a place on the Conde Nast Traveler readers’ list. They include Four Seasons Whistler, Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Westin Whistler.
Lloyd Daser, General Manager of the Pan Pacific Whistler properties is delighted for his team and his guests. He says “We all know Whistler is the best vacation destination in the world, both summer and winter. Seeing so many of our properties recognized on this prestigious list is good for all of us here in BC.” He goes on to say, “We are committed to offering the best vacation experience to our guests. It is with great pride that we say thank you to the voters for their kind support of our efforts.”
In the October edition of Traveler magazine, results from the magazine’s readers’ survey ranked the world’s best hotels, cruise lines, airlines and other tourism providers. 1.3 million votes were cast by nearly 80,000 people who took part in this year’s Condé Nast Traveler readers’ survey.

Spacious all-suite accommodations at Pan Pacific Whistler properties offer in-suite gas fireplaces, private balconies, full-size kitchens, alpine views and soaker tubs with Aveda salon amenities. Complimentary perks include daily breakfast (Village Centre location only), wireless Internet and local calls, in-resort shuttle and slope-side valet ski/bike/golf storage.
About the Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Survey: The readers’ poll began in 1988 and is available at Condé nasttraveler.com/vote. The questionnaire contains lists of candidates in various categories (Cities, Hotels, etc.). Individual candidates are judged by relevant criteria for each. Those that receive a required minimum number of responses are deemed eligible for a Readers' Choice Award. Each candidate is rated, criterion by criterion, on a five-point scale. Those scores, which represent the percentage of excellent and very good ratings, are averaged to calculate the final score published here. For example, the Wickaninnish Inn’s rating, 96.0, is the average of its scores for all criteria: Food/Dining, Location, Overall Design, Rooms, Service, and (for resorts) Activities/Facilities.
