Eight Fun Things to Discover at Pan Pacific Whistler

(Whistler, BC) It’s a funny thing about a place that’s as well loved as the Pan Pacific Whistler: You think you know everything there is to discover about it, and then you find out that you just don’t know what you don’t know. Here are eight things worth discovering this summer at Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre and Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside.

1. Electric cars stay free.
This summer, Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside is installing two electric car charging stations. Guests who drive up in their electric cars will not only get a charge out of staying here, they’ll be able to park their vehicles for free.

2. Gather in the penthouse!
Pan Pacific Whistler’s Village Centre location has a luxe, 1,700-square-foot, three-bedroom-plus-den penthouse called the Blackcomb Suite. It’s all decked out with a full gourmet kitchen and another 513 square feet of outdoor living space, perfect for your next big family gathering.

3. Luck of the Irish.
Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub isn’t just Irish in name. There’s Guinness and Kilkenny on tap, Irish stew on the menu, fiddle music on the sound system – and even a real, live Dubliner running the show, General Manager Evan Wilkin.

4. Rise and shine.
If you need a reason to get up in the morning, Dubh Linn Gate’s got a good one for you – a really terrific breakfast. Try the corned beef hash or Irish scramble, served with house made jams and soda bread. Plus the pub now has an espresso machine for gourmet coffee drinks – unless, of course, your preferred eye opener is an Irish coffee. They can do that, too (after 9:00AM).

5. Bring your best friend.
At Village Centre, staff will love your pet almost as much as you do. They’ll provide dog treats, poop bags, food and water bowls, a cozy blanket, and, if you like, dog sitters or group walks with Alpine Dogs. In addition, they donate C$5 per night per pet guest to Whistler Animals Galore (WAG), the local animal shelter.

6. Never go hungry.
Both properties have full kitchens in the all-suite guest rooms, and will even stock your fridge for you before you arrive so you can head straight to the hills. Just let the Service One team know what you desire, and it will be waiting for you when you check in. Just say, “Please stock my fridge!”

7. Head to the hills.
Pan Pacific Whistler has just launched a Hike and Bike Package that will let you make the most of mountain adventure this summer. It includes:

  • Two nights’ accommodation in a Studio, One or Two Bedroom Suite
  • Two 2-hour Valley Trail bike rentals
  • Two PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola passes
  • Complimentary self-parking for one vehicle

This offer is valid for stays from May 24 to Sept. 21, 2014; must be booked a minimum of five days before arrival.

8. Come back soon!
Both properties are launching a Gift for You program this summer: Stay at either Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre or Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside from June through November and you will receive a “please come back” card to be used during a stay at any of the four Pan Pacific properties in the Pacific Northwest, including Pan Pacific Vancouver and Pan Pacific Seattle.

If it’s been awhile since you’ve visited the Pan Pacific Whistler, isn’t it time you came back and rediscovered it for yourself?

About Pan Pacific Whistler: Pan Pacific Associates, dubbed the “Service One” team for a reason, are available 24 hours each day at both Pan Pacific Whistler properties. This team takes pride in ensuring each guest finds his or her way into the most suitable suite in the two hotels, offering that guest the best choice and value in Whistler. Spacious all-suite accommodations at Pan Pacific Whistler properties offer in-suite gas fireplaces, private balconies, full-size kitchens, alpine views and soaker tubs with Aveda salon amenities. Complimentary perks include daily breakfast (Village Centre location only), wireless Internet and local calls, in-resort shuttle and slope-side valet ski/bike/golf storage. http://www.panpacificwhistler.com.
