Reinventing the Meal

Singapore, 7 July 2014 - Pacific Marketplace introduces SuperMuffins, a range of five unique savoury muffins that are an affordable and convenient meal option any time of the day. From 14 July 2014, the SuperMuffins will be available at Pacific Marketplace for dine-in, takeaway and online at www.pacificmarketplace.sg.

Equipped with an army of premium ingredients, Pastry Chef Philip Lee handcrafts the unique savoury batter used to create the SuperMuffins. Fine gruyere cheese added into the batter lends its mellow, slightly salty flavour to the mix, while the ratio of flour to oil content ensures that the SuperMuffins retain a pleasing texture whilst encasing rich savoury fillings.

Stir-fried in a traditional Chinese wok, Chicken Run features succulent chicken cubes exuding wok hei, a characteristic fragrance imparted from the wok to the ingredients when fried over high heat. Antioxidant-rich garlic chives and fragrant Shaoxing Rice Wine are then added to provide an extra boost to result in an ambrosial dish.

Krrish displays a fiery combination of curry potatoes prepared in classic Indian fashion. Potato cubes are slowly cooked over low flame in a medley of traditional spices including garam masala, chilli powder, aromatic curry leaves, cumin and turmeric powder to titillate the senses with every mouthful.

Rich in protein, Minotaur showcases a revitalising presentation of classic French-style braised Oxtail. The beef is slowly simmered for three hours with mix of vegetables including carrots, celery and sweet onions. The ingredients release their natural flavouring, allowing the dish to develop a hearty flavour as the meat takes on a deliciously succulent and tender texture.

Gloriously green in appearance, The Hulk features a decadent blend of Mushroom, Cheese and Cream encased in a savoury Spinach crust. Simple seasoning like pepper, garlic and salt are added to button mushrooms and cream, and the sauce is reduced over low heat, allowing it to caramelise and develop seductively rich and earthy flavours.

Ms Piggy
provides an energising concoction of sweet Classic Chinese Barbecued Pork with piquant Salted Egg Yolk. Seasoned in blend of hoisin sauce, honey, oyster sauce and Shaoxing wine, well-marbled pork collar is barbecued to conceive smoky and juicy Char Siew. Mixed with Salted Egg Yolk which imparts its rich buttery flavour, the dish features a contrast of textures in each decadent bite.

The SuperMuffins will join forces at Pacific Marketplace daily from 14 July 2014, and are available for dine-in, takeaway and online at www.pacificmarketplace.com.sg.
