Senior Technician

Under the direction of Engineering Team Leader or other appropriate supervisory/ managerial staff responsible for the general maintenance and/or minor repairs to the service apartments and grounds and to do related tasks as required. Lead small team of maintenance employees and vendors/contractors; coordinates department activities with those of other departments; inspects and troubleshoots maintenance work; and perform the work of maintenance employees and other duties as required.

The Role

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the physical condition of the building. Sees that the building has adequate heating, lighting and ventilation etc. and that it is properly cleaned and in good working condition.
  • Does general maintenance and repairs such as painting, patching walls, plumbing facilities, and electrical switches and other fixtures and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure and Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance programmed (PPM) schedule are implemented and carry out according to schedule.
  • Respond and prioritize maintenance requisitions (MR) and guest’s requests to ensure guests receive quality service and furnishings and to meet specific site requirement and Service delivery level.
  • Perform checks and inspections to all plants machinery and equipment
  • Assist in the implementation of Energy/Water conservation measure and initiative to achieve agreed target reduction set.
  • Maintain and order appropriate stock level of engineering material within department operational allocated budget and contributes to effective inventory control systems.
  • Lead small technicians to meet specific site Operational requirement and Service delivery level.
  • Coordinates renovations of existing facilities and construction of new facilities.
  • Conduct Risk assessment and evaluate operational work activities to comply to ISO 45001 Work Safety and Health act.
  • Assisting ISO 14001 Environmental certifications and requirements necessary to comply Environmental related requirement
  • Performs any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

Talent Profile

  • At least 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Technical Certificate in relevant field
  • Conversant in the English Language
  • Knowledge of functions of relevant technical systems and associated equipment and operational procedures.
  • Ability to maintain and repair relevant machinery
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong team player and leadership skill
