The Role

Pan Pacific Melbourne is looking to appoint a Full-Time Groups, Conference & Events Sales Coordinator on a 12-month contract to focus on maximising revenue opportunities in all areas of meeting and events.

The Successful Group, Conference & Events Coordinator will:

  • Conversion of enquiries into confirmed business, maximising guest spend by using upselling techniques and drive business goals to achieve targets

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and personally follow up in a timely manner

  • Ensuring efficient and accurate handling of incoming enquiries via all available communication streams

  • Ensure targeted revenue goals are achieved and/or exceeded by maximizing room and catering revenue

  • Conducting site inspections and attending networking events as required

  • Accurately communicating all the details of any event to the Groups, Conference and Events Manager directly & any other relevant departments

Talent Profile

Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the hospitality, services or travel industry

  • A strong history within event sales and a high conversion rate for enquiries

  • Be willing to go the extra mile to ensure our guests have a memorable experience

  • Opera Sales and Catering or similar system experience advantageous

  • The ability to take direction and also work autonomously

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with a high attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication and excellent personal presentation
