The Role

Working within our busy Engineering Department the Maintenance Assistant duties consist or, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains professional internal guest service: smiles, creates eye contact, and uses guest and employee names.
  • Completes work orders as assigned.
  • Ensures all duties on task list and 'rounds sheet' are completed.
  • Respond to radio calls and address immediately issues related to guest or/and other department’s request.
  • Repairs office furniture and equipment, housekeeping and banquet equipment.
  • Assist in all other on-going maintenance & engineering of the physical building and ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained. Replaces all burnt out light bulbs throughout hotel.
  • Assist in all other preventive maintenance and engineering measures.
  • Maintain safe work practices and the use of environmentally sound practices.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner within a multifunctional team environment.
  • Ensure upkeep of common areas and grounds.
  • Performs other related duties as required. 

 

Talent Profile

  • Previous painting experience.
  • Previous experience with related machinery and hand tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Previous hotel maintenance experience an asset.
  • Pool operator or pool and hot tubs knowledge an asset.
  • Observational skills and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Possess a passion for customer service.
  • Impeccable grooming standards.
  • Excellent command of English, a second language is an asset.
  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Have the ability to work effectively in an innovative and diverse environment.
