Business Development Manager

The Role

 

PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne are currently looking to appoint a permanent full-time Business Development Manager to join our pre-opening team to focus on maximising revenue opportunities in all areas of meeting and events. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Business Development Manager will focus on building, developing and maintaining client relationships. You will work closely with the team to create and implement hotel level tactical sales plans; analyse current/potential markets and sales trends as well as coordinating activities to maintain and increase revenue and market share through added business volume and increased rate.

 

The Role:

         

 

 

  • Managing existing clients, whilst canvassing for new business opportunities
  • Site inspections, client entertainment, sales trips and industry updates
  • Sell all facets of hotel (including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other incremental revenue) and cross sell other Pan Pacific Hotels Group properties
  • Drive success in achieving corporate sales goals
  • Generate new business and grow existing business to achieve budgets
  • Build relationships locally and with key contacts and procurement managers
  • Driving sales within a designated terrirtory

 

 

 

Talent Profile

 

Ideally you will have:

 

  • Execute the sales function within 4 or 5-star hotel properties
  • Exposure to a variety of markets including corporate, government, MICE & sport segments
  • Proven track record in generating revenue within a Business Development role
  • Experience in managing key customer relationships
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and obtain "buy-in" from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
