The Role

Job Summary

To assist the Executive Chinese Chef in the efficient management of the Chinese Restaurant Kitchen.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the team and Executive Chinese Chef on day-to-day operation.
  • To be responsible for the total quality of food prepared and that food cost is kept within approved budget.
  • To be responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness of the kitchen.
  • To be responsible for the ordering.
  • Responsible for the training of staff in cuisine knowledge and their respective duty areas.
  • To ensure that all kitchen equipment are kept in good working conditions.
 

Talent Profile

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Hotel and/or Chinese Restaurant.
  • Secondary education.
  • Extensive Sichuan and/or Cantonese cuisine knowledge.
  • Able to work split shifts.
  • Hold valid Food Hygiene Certification.
