Exclusive Wine & Dine with Damian Shaw
From Orange to Sydney, Philip Shaw has teamed up with ABODE Bistro. Bar to bring you a unique dining experience.
Chef Josh Askew and Wayne Lai have crafted a signature four-course menu, highlighting the best of local seasonal produce. You’ll savour the flavours of autumn, starting with a selection of starters, followed by Chef's renowned Cured Ora King Salmon for entrée, a 32-day dry-aged Beef Striploin as the main, and finishing with a refreshing Citrus Pavlova.
For the wines, Philip Shaw has selected six premium pairings to perfectly complement each dish, with one wine remaining a mystery for you to guess.

Words from Philip Shaw
They say that luck is found where opportunity meets preparation.
Between us, we’ve had a lot of good luck, but more importantly we have been persistent, hard working and sometimes a little bit stubborn.
Faith in our instincts combined with calculated risk have led to some beautiful moments of inspiration.

Meet Damian Shaw
From the moment I can remember, the dining room table, our holidays, even our backyard revolved around wine, vineyard and winemaking. The first official part of the journey started as a cellar rat at the age of nine with the first pay cheque! Many vintages followed. Every winemakers dream is to grow and make their own wine. Philip’s was no different. The search for a vineyard site took our family on a journey around Australia and ended on the high slopes of Mt Canobolas, Orange. And the transformation of the old sheep paddocks into Koomooloo vineyard (1988). 10 years spent in the corporate world, laid the foundations with general management, sales and marketing experience. And the next step back to the wine industry. In 2003, Philip and I joined together to build Philip Shaw Wines. Launching at the first vintage in August 2005. Since then we have moved the winery from the old shed at the cool stores to our own site, the Cellar Door out of Mum & Dads house and we now sell our wines across Australia and 12 International markets. We have built a great team of humans and I look forward to continuing this journey for many vintages to come.
