You’ll be spoilt for choice at MAC; from generous portions of French-inspired salads & sandwiches, freshly baked desserts, acai bowls and even protein shakes. This restaurant & bar is all about homemade, local-inspired culinary creations, as hinted by its name. Located in the Chinatown district, Chef Darren Farr’s brainchild allows diners to “Pimp Their Breakfast”, mixing & matching various foods from a more than substantial list. Their rendition of the ‘lokal’ favourite, Kaya Toast with Butter, is simply delicious. Moreover, they have a huge variety of both white and black coffee, leaving you utterly spoilt for choice!

Although this very much mainstream household name is a far cry from being a hipster cafe, Ya Kun Kaya Toast deserves a mention for its tried and true menu of simple yet satisfying toasts and coffee. There’s no better start to a day than tucking into a plate of kaya and peanut butter toast alongside runny soft boiled eggs. If you want something more substantial, this particular outlet also offers Asian Signature dishes* like Mee Rebus, Chicken Curry and Nasi Lemak Istimewa that are worth a try!
