The Assistant Director / Senior Manager of Catering Sales and Event Services assist the Director of Catering Sales & Event Services to manage the day-to-day activities for the local catering and meeting, groups and social catering sales function with a focus on building long-term, implementation of sales activities and value-based customer relationships. Ensure a seamless turnover and event execution from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering a high level of service. Maintains accountability for verifying that the team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurate forecasting in all segments.
Our Expectations:
- Personally manage and actively supervise the management of selected key catering accounts.
- Source, books and develop local catering and meeting and social catering business.
- Implement and execute catering sales promotions / initiatives campaign.
- Assist to devise, implement and execute annual sales plan addressing revenue, customers and sales activity plan to achieve the overall catering revenue goals.
- Solicit and develop catering accounts base. Joint calls with the Catering team to close business deals. Assist the Director of Catering Sales & Event Services to manage day to day sales activities of the team.
- Organize, plan and execute any in-house customers events.
- Attend social networking gathering as required to create awareness of the Hotel.
- Conduct sales blitzes as needed to develop new businesses
- Aggressively lead the catering revenue maximisation.
- Work closely with Revenue and Sales team to create and implement programs to achieve greater productivity through:
- Increase average check and function room maximisation.
- Increase business volume during need period.
- Increase food & beverage banqueting sales.
- Work closely with the catering sales and event services team to generate catering leads with close follow-up and monitoring of leads leading to conversion.
- Liaise with Food & Beverage and Culinary team to develop new concept, theme menus and setup to cater to the client’s needs by offering quality and better choices for revenue optimisation.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
- Personally handles high profile events execution. Meets with guests during pre- and post-group / events meetings to obtain feedback on quality of product (e.g., rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage), service levels, execution against contract and overall satisfaction.
Talent Profile
We are looking for a self-motivated 'hunter' with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as good understanding of the wedding and social segments in the market. You should have an eye for detail yet creative and nimble with ability to adapt to ever changing requirements and needs of customers.
