Singapore's Hotel-in-a-Garden
Built with the environment in mind, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, Singapore is a hotel like no other – blending modern luxury with a deep commitment to sustainability. From innovative architectural design by award-winning architects WOHA to eco-friendly features such as rainwater harvesting, solar panels, and a rooftop urban farm, the hotel sets a new standard in green hospitality.
Iconic Hotel-in-a-Garden
As Singapore’s first 'hotel-in-a-garden', sustainability is at the heart of our operations. We bring the outdoors in with lush greenery, smart eco-technologies, and thoughtful touches that reduce our impact on the planet.
Nature-First Design
Over fifty varieties of plants are used to form a 15,000sqm lush tropical urban high-rise garden. Layered greenery encourages biodiversity in the city, reduces pests and need for maintenance, cools the building by shading hard surfaces, and improves air quality across all four sides of the building.
Powering A Greener Stay
Our hotel harnesses clean, renewable energy with 262 rooftop solar panels and supports electric mobility with EV charging stations and an electric guest transfer vehicle. Design features like a short building depth, high-performance glass and energy-efficient LED lighting maximise natural daylight while reducing energy use.
Efficiency in Every Drop
Our self-sustaining landscape minimises resource use, with rainwater harvesting and fertigation systems delivering water and nutrients through timer-controlled drip nozzles. This is further supported by AI-powered, weather-based sensors that optimise water use for both plant health and water conversation.
Sustainable Comfort
Over half of guest room corridors are naturally ventilated with water features and plant walls that mitigate heat, and large windows reduce the need for artificial lighting. Recycled composite granite countertops conserve natural resources, while filtered water dispensers and refillable pump bottles eliminate single-use plastics.
Thoughtful Plates, Crafted Pours
Lime Restaurant’s conscious dining programme features a selection of nutritious, low-waste dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, while Lime Bar crafts signature eco-friendly cocktails that fully utilise every part of the fruit, effectively reducing waste without compromising on flavour.
From Farm to Fork
Our Urban Farm, Hydroponics Farm, and Mushroom NanoFarm supply fresh ingredients for farm-to-table dining at Lime Restaurant and Lime Bar. By reducing food miles, packaging and waste, and partnering sustainable suppliers, we lower our carbon footprint while still serving flavour-packed dishes.
Making Waste Matter Less
Recycling bins throughout the hotel promote responsible waste management for both guests and associates. Additionally, a food waste digester converts kitchen scraps into greywater, which is safely discharged into sewage, supporting sustainable operations and reducing environmental impact.
Explore the City Responsibly
Complimentary city bikes are available for our in-house guests to explore the vibrant streets of Chinatown and Marina Bay at their own pace, offering a sustainable way to discover the neighbourhood while reducing carbon emissions and supporting eco-friendly travel.
Purpose Beyond Hospitality
We believe sustainability starts with people. Through inclusive hiring, school partnerships, community sustainability tours, festive gifting, and collaborations with groups like The Very Special Choir, we uplift communities and inspire future generations through meaningful, people-first initiatives.
Honouring Art and Heritage
A stay with us celebrates Singapore’s culture and creativity - from year-round festive traditions to collaborations with local artists that support inclusive arts. Our ongoing commitment is recognised as UOL and PPHG receives the Distinguished Patron of the Arts Award for the fourth consecutive year.
