The Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will be an essential part of our dynamic kitchen team, responsible for delivering a high standard of food and maintaining exceptional kitchen operations. You’ll work closely with the Sous Chefs and Executive Chef to prepare and present à la carte dishes to our guests during dinner service in our Dock 37 Restaurant and bar.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and presentation of à la carte dishes in your designated section, ensuring consistency and excellence at all times.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of orders.
Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked kitchen station.
Manage food preparation, portion control, and stock rotation.
Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
Collaborate with the team to ensure that the culinary standards of the hotel are consistently met.
Assist in the training and development of team
Talent Profile
Ideally you will have:
Previous experience in a 5-star hotel or high-end dining environment is essential.
Relevant qualifications/certificates in Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent), HACCP and local Food Safety Handling & Hygiene
A passion for creating exceptional à la carte dining experiences.
Strong knowledge of contemporary kitchen practices and techniques.
Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and presentation skills.
Ability to work productively and safely at all times with a focus on quality control
The flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
Early morning and weekend availability it essential
