  • Located in the Suzhou Confucian Temple which was built in 1035, this museum was established in October 1986 to preserve, study, display and replicate ancient stone tablets.
  • Pavilion of Surging Waves, one of the most ancient gardens in Suzhou, was built during the reign of Qingli Emperor during the Northern Song Dynasty. It was also the residence of a famous general Han Shizhong, and was entered in the World Heritage List in 2000.
  • Pingjiang Road Historical Block is the most completely preserved area in the ancient city of Suzhou. Explore the alleys and visit Pingtan Museum and China Kunqu Museum, which also organise the occasional Chinese opera performance.
  • Suzhou Museum was designed by world-famous Chinese American architect I.M. Pei and completed in 2006. It covers an exhibition area of 2,200 sqm and accommodates over 15,000 artifacts. Some of the museum’s top treasures were found in the ancient Ruiguang Tower of Panmen.

How to travel to Pan Pacific Suzhou from Shanghai/Nanjing?

Enter the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway in Suzhou direction.
Enter Changshu to Hangzhou Expressway, get off at Suzhou Exit and enter Suzhou South Ring Bridge. Get off the bridge at Panxu Road, go north on Panxu Road and turn right into Xinshi Road.
Cross Xinshi Bridge and Pan Pacific Suzhou is about 200 meters on the right.
