Whistler is renowned for the wide variety of events and festivals that take place here. From Village ice skating, the Fire & Ice Show and live music,  to bike races,  yoga, farmer’s markets and kids event,  there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the year in Whistler.

Comfortably Numb Trail Running Race

One of the most beautiful point-to-point races in British Columbia, the 23-kilometre-plus Comfortably Numb course is an internationally recognized mountain biking route, and it's even more fun to run! A few climbs, a few descents, a beautiful bridge crossing, numerous sweeping vistas, and almost all singletrack. In 2019, Comfortably Numb have made a slight but fun change to the course and the race now finishes back in Whistler Village by descending the Yumby Numby climb. Don't miss out on this classic race.

Red Bull 400

Warm up your leg muscles for the steepest 400 metre race in the world as Red Bull 400 returns to conquer the ski jumps of Whistler Olympic Park in the Callaghan Valley. Testing both speed and endurance, this race challenges runners to 400 metres from the bottom of the ski jump, straight up to the top. Don’t let the simplicity of the concept fool you, runners will push themselves to the limit with this punishing climb up.

Crankworx Whistler

Crankworx is the defining celebration of mountain biking. A supercharged magnet for the world’s best riders and the definitive domestication of dirt in the service of epic endurance, supreme flow, monster air and gravity-fuelled mountain biking. Nowhere else will you find this caliber and collection of athletes, from across this many disciplines of mountain biking, together in one place. Over ten fearless days in August, the venues at the Whistler Mountain Bike Park will serve as a modern day Colosseum to the world’s best mountain bike athletes. Downhill, enduro, trials, pump track, whip-offs, music, art - this festival has it all. And don’t forget to sign up the little ones for Kidsworx.

Slow Food Cycle (Pemberton)

Slow Food Cycle Sunday in Pemberton, BC blows the fast food drive-through away. A pedal-powered trip through the natural buffet that is Pemberton Meadows farmland allows you to meet local growers and sample produce fresh from the field. It's the Sea to Sky's signature agri-tourism event and it's held just 30 minutes north of Whistler.

5 Peaks Trail Running Series

Running over rocks, roots, tree stumps, and logs, up ski hills, hiking trails, through puddles, mud, snow and much more. These courses take people off road and into the hills. The Whistler race will be held in the upper alpine of Blackcomb Mountain. Navigate through some steep climbs, sharp descents and craggy wilderness trails. And through it all, enjoy the tremendous views!

RBC GranFondo Whistler & UCI World Championships

The RBC GranFondo Whistler returns for its eleventh year and this year will also host the UCI GranFondo World Championships, held in North America for the first time. The 122km cycle from Vancouver to Whistler offers breathtaking views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, with challenging climbs and plenty of downhill sections. Receive a warm welcome at the finish line in Whistler and stay for the post-race celebrations, family events, the fresh mountain air and Whistler’s endless activities.

Whistler Village Beer Festival

The Whistler Village Beer Festival is a seven-day festival held annually in the fall showcasing all things beer! Attend the Main Event at Whistler Olympic Plaza on September 19 and 20 where you can sample from over 140 beers and ciders, enjoy live music, food trucks and more. Don't miss unique events such as a beer block party, themed food pairings, beer yoga, axe throwing, cask nights and beer battles throughout the entire week.

Whistler Turkey Trot

The Whistler Turkey Trot, presented by Smartwool is a young tradition from the long standing non profit society that brings you the annual Whistler Half Marathon. Taking place in Lost Lake Park, the crown jewel of Whistler's park system, this family friendly event offers both a 5km and 10km distance along some of the best trails Whistler has on offer.

Whistler Writers Festival

The Whistler Writers Festival returns to celebrate the art of storytelling with an all-star lineup of guest authors and top tier events. Writers, readers and storytellers of all levels will be able to further their knowledge of the written word through a combination of development workshops, panel discussions, and reading and spoken word events during the action-packed weekend.

Cornucopia Food and Drink Festival

Cornucopia is the fall festival that celebrates the best of food and drink from Whistler, British Columbia and beyond. The festival offers something for everybody with winemaker dinners, themed food and drink events, interactive seminars, health and wellness events and electric after-parties. Sip and sample your way through food of all kinds, beer, wine and spirits and enjoy a fantastic social atmosphere.

Whistler Film Festival

The Whistler Film Festival welcomes film fans and filmmakers to experience its 20th edition with fresh films, special guests, epic events, innovative industry Summit and talent programs, and time to play in North America’s premiere mountain resort destination.
