PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne is proud to partner with the Hudson Institute of Medical Research in the fight against childhood cancer.   

Each year, nearly 1,000 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer, adding to the 5,600 already undergoing treatment. At the forefront of this battle, Hudson Institute is leading groundbreaking research to develop innovative therapies aimed at curing childhood cancer.   

Located just minutes from our hotel within the Monash Health Precinct, Hudson Institute’s pioneering research directly impacts local patients, offering new hope and treatment options for children in need. By supporting their vital work, we are helping to accelerate the development of life-saving therapies that not only benefit children in our community but also have the potential to transform lives worldwide.

Recycling That Empowers

PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne’s partnership with Scouts Victoria is a rewarding collaboration that benefits both the environment and the community.

Through this initiative, we’ve placed large recycling bins—generously donated by Scouts Victoria—throughout our guest areas and back-of-house spaces to enhance our recycling program. As part of the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme, we receive a 10c refund for every eligible container we collect, with all proceeds going directly to Scouts Victoria. These funds help support their impactful community programs, empowering young people and providing them with opportunities for adventure and personal growth.

Here's a fun fact, filling just two 240-liter bins can fund adventure experiences for five children or provide a full weekend Adventure Camp for one child. When we fill four 240-liter bins, we can support a young person’s scout activities for an entire month, making a real, lasting impact on their development and experiences.

We are proud to be a part of this initiative and are excited to continue working with Scouts Victoria to create a more sustainable future while giving back to the community and helping young people thrive through their life-changing programs.
