With over 15 years of culinary experience, Safar’s journey is driven by passion, discipline and a love for creating memorable dining experiences. From his early days in the kitchen to leading roles in renowned hotels, he has continuously refined his craft across Malaysian and Western cuisines, with a strong focus on Italian fine dining.
Now serving as Sous Chef at Gustoso, Safar brings artistry to every plate mastering pasta, risotto and modern presentation while ensuring consistency and quality in every service. Beyond the kitchen, he is a decorated competitor, earning 1st Runner-Up at the FB Masters 2022 Culinary Challenge and a crowd favourite known for his Flying Roti Canai performances at the Penang International Food Festival.
