Divine Durian for Mother’s Day
Singapore, 01 April 2014 – At Pan Pacific Singapore, Pastry Chef Phillip Lee has created eight durian desserts to be enjoyed at Edge for Mother’s Day Buffet Dinner (9 to 11 May) priced at $88++ and at Pacific Marketplace for Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Buffet (10 and 11 May) priced at $48++.
Mother’s Day Dinner Buffet at Edge
Mother’s Day dinner at Edge in Pan Pacific Singapore promises to be a vibrant dining experience with culinary presentations from seven live food theatres. Highlights from seven live food theatres include seafood on ice, sashimi, sushi, Asian and Western roast meats such as char siu, crispy roast pork, roast duck and roast lamb and roast beef, Asian courses including curries, spicy stir fries and dim sum from Hai Tien Lo as well as pasta and pizza. Local delights like hearty laksa and a range of seven home-made sambal pastes as well as exotic Thai dishes like tom yum soup, fish cakes and pad thai have also become firm favourites with diners.
Especially for Mother’s Day, the ‘live’ grill will feature succulent seafood and meats. Highlights include signature Pan Pacific sausages, Stingray with Special Sambal, White Pepper Crab, Jumbo Prawn or Salt-crusted Salmon with Dill Cream Sauce.
While an extensive range of desserts beckon, durian aficionados will delight in the new assortment of eight durian desserts specially created for the week. A pioneering chef in Singapore to use durian in desserts, Pastry Chef Philip Lee rounds up the culinary experience with his signature Durian Pengat, Durian Cake, Durian Puff, Durian Crumble, Durian Pudding, Durian Cheesecake, Durian White Chocolate Cake and the Durian Milk Chocolate Tart.
