The Role

The Chief Steward is responsible for leading and managing the stewarding operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all food and beverage outlets. This role plays a critical part in supporting culinary and service teams by maintaining efficient back-of-house operations while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hotel standards.

Talent Profile

  • Overseeing daily stewarding operations, including dishwashing, kitchen cleanliness, and waste management

  • Ensuring compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP)

  • Managing stewarding manpower, duty rosters, and training

  • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchens, storage areas, and equipment

  • Coordinating with Culinary and F&B teams to support smooth operations

  • Monitoring inventory, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance

  • Enforcing safety procedures and promoting a clean, safe working environment
