Pan Pacific Seattle

The Pacific Northwest’s history as a center of commerce dates back over 10,000 years, when Native Americans thrived on the land’s abundance.  Surrounded by Lake Washington, Puget Sound and two mountain ranges, the Olympics to the west and the Cascades to the east, the Northwest is known for natural beauty. The native population that first resided in the area skillfully navigated the land and waterways. The arrival of the Denny family in the Puget Sound in September 1851 was the start of Seattle’s emergence as a globally relevant urban landscape, home to industry, culture and arts.

In 1962, Seattle sponsored a full-fledged world's fair, the futuristic Century 21 Exposition. The fair provided the city a permanent legacy with the Seattle Center and its complex of performance halls, as well as the Pacific Science Center, the Monorail, and the Space Needle. Seattle is bound to intrigue even the most seasoned traveler.  We hope you enjoy exploring our unique city.
