From 10 October to 9 November, Peppermint invites diners on a foodie’s expedition to experience the rich melting pot of Taiwan’s most beloved flavours. Back by popular demand, Tastes of Taiwan unveils an exciting buffet curation by Chef de Cuisine Leon Yee and his culinary team, who drew inspiration from the island’s lush natural pantry of fresh harvests.
Each dish on this food trail also carries the story of Taiwan’s cultural crossroads and place in maritime history. Beyond the sizzling street food and night market snacks, diners are invited to savour colourful coastal cuisine before tasting the Hakka and Fujian-origin double-boiled soups, braised meats and brothy noodle bowls widely hailed as Taiwanese “soul food”. Layering on even more exciting flavours, are authentic indigenous dishes that capture the island’s wild, mountainous spirit.
