Mother’s Day at Edge promises to be a vibrant and colourful dining experience with seven live kitchens presenting highlights inspired by garden blooms. Symbolising purity, beauty and life, flowers are commonly presented to express gratitude to mothers, and Executive Chef Vincent Aw has taken this inspiration to pay tribute to all mothers with a dedicated selection, available between 8 and 10 May 2015. Celebrate with highlights including Roasted Margret Duck Breast with Hibiscus Sauce, a combination of robust flavour with a fragrant scent from Hibiscus, and freshly baked Daisies Flower Cake with a subtle floral aroma. In addition, mothers will enjoy a complimentary glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne and a carnation when dining at Edge between 8 and 10 May 2015 during dinners and at Sunday Champagne Brunch.

Extend the celebrations at Pacific Marketplace as the gourmet grocery and café presents a delicate three-tier afternoon tea inspired by berries and flowers. For an idyllic afternoon respite, savour pastries including Raspberry Rose Financier with a hint of floral bouquet, Strawberry Yoghurt Scone combining sweet and savoury flavours in a seamless fashion and Lavender Mint Chocolate Tart for a refreshing marriage of flavours.

Pacific Marketplace’s Mother’s Day afternoon tea is available from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on 9 and 10 May 2015. At SGD68 for two guests, the afternoon set includes a selection of tea and coffee. Guests can pamper their mothers to a more indulgent experience with a flute of Champagne at an additional SGD20 per person.

In recognition of mothers’ gift of love and dedication, Executive Chef Lai Tong Ping (黎东平) from Hai Tien Lo (海天楼) presents two prix fixe menus comprising signature Cantonese delicacies cooked with love. Available from 4 to 10 May 2015 from SGD118 per person, the seven-course tasting menu is ideal for mothers who have a penchant for traditional delights. Indulge in a nourishing Double-boiled Sea Cucumber, Bamboo Piths and Fish Maw Soup that brings to mind the nostalgic goodness of home cooked soup and Steamed Sea Perch Fillet with a buttery smooth flavour enhanced by the aroma and texture from Preserved Vegetables. For added indulgence, Stewed Inaniwa Udon with Lobster in Octopus Broth that has been simmered in a flavourful broth will tantalise the palate.

Over Mother’s Day weekend on 9 and 10 May 2015, Hai Tien Lo’s popular Weekend Dim Sum Brunch (SGD88 per person) will feature delicate handcrafted snacks that will touch the hearts of all guests. Highlights of the menu include Braised Whole Abalone with Bean Curd in Conpoy Sauce and Double-boiled Mini “Buddha Jump over the Wall” with Cordycep. To sweeten the dining experience, mothers will also enjoy a complimentary Double-boiled Imperial Swiftlet’s Nest.
