We are currently seeking a proactive and hands-on Handyperson to help maintain the hotel’s exceptional facilities and deliver a seamless experience for our guests. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and hotel equipment. From minor repairs to preventative maintenance, your role will be critical in maintaining the high standards expected in a luxury environment.

About the role:

• Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, tiling, and minor plumbing.

• Respond promptly to guest room and public area repair requests.

• Conduct preventative maintenance checks and ensure all hotel facilities are in excellent working order.

• Liaise professionally with other departments to resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently.

• Accurately document maintenance work and report any recurring issues or safety concerns

• Work a rotating roster, including rotating weekends 

Ideally you will have:

• Proven experience in general maintenance or as a handyperson

• Broad skillset in basic repairs: carpentry, painting, plumbing

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Comfortable with manual handling, ladders, and working on your feet.
