We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at PARKROYAL Monash.   Reporting to the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for proactive hotel maintenance and the upkeep of the hotel’s facilities. You will manage future projects, led by example and be responsible for the lawful building compliance and all OH&S and Fire, Life & Safety systems for the hotel. You will mentor, train and develop the Engineering team and contribute to the hotels positive culture  

You will be responsible for:

• Ensure lawful building compliance of the hotel as it relates to essential services, fire, life and safety

• Manage the overall maintenance of the hotel, including preventative maintenance, cost control & contractor liaison.

• Completing CAPEX submissions and overseeing all CAPEX works relating to the maintenance of the hotel

• Leading, motivating and developing the engineering team

• Monitor and analyse of guest feedback related to the hotel facilities, ensuring feedback is acted upon, followed up and corrected

• Manage the hotels OH&S responsibilities

Ideally you will have:

• A trade qualification

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• A genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an eye for detail

• Previous experience as a Chief Engineer or Maintenance Manager in a 4 or 5-star hotel environment

• A proven ability to proactively coach and guide team members

• An energetic, positive, team-oriented outlook
