Where to Stay for Your Toronto Vacation

Start your Toronto holiday right. Check into the gorgeous surroundings of the Premier Room at Pan Pacific Toronto, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The inviting views here are complemented by its spacious interior and modern furnishings.
After a hectic day of holidaymaking activities, enjoy a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool, and relax with a craft beer or glass of wine at the 900 Lounge. Now, let us look at what you can do in Toronto in just three days.
Day 1: Explore Downtown Toronto

On the first day of your Toronto trip, begin with a back to “school” journey to the University of Toronto. Steeped in history, the country’s top university boasts a unique combination of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.
Visiting the university’s main St George Campus transports you to centuries-old England, which is not surprising as the university’s architecture is modelled after that of the University of Oxford in England.
Next, take a 4-minute walk to the almost two-century-old Robarts Library, the largest academic library in Canada, to marvel at the books stored here. Interestingly, the exterior of the library, a prime example of brutalist architecture, was used in the movie Resident Evil: Afterlife.
Speaking of movie locations, do head to the nearby Trinity College next to visit its Dining Hall, which you may find familiar. It inspired the design of the Dining Hall at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movie series. Relive some of the best moments of the movies here—remember to capture some Instagram-worthy shots before you leave!
After your “academic” tour, visit the Toronto City Hall, one of the city’s best-known landmarks. The uniquely designed structure of the City Hall cuts an imposing sight. It consists of two curved towers standing in front of Canada’s largest public square, and makes a great photo opportunity.
Just nearby is the historic Distillery District, where you can grab lunch and do some shopping. The brick-lined streets of this Victorian-themed village are home to live theatre performances, fashion stores, art galleries, jewellery boutiques, as well as countless cafes and restaurants.

End your first day in Toronto with a step back in time—to a period filled with mediaeval European elegance and splendour. The Casa Loma is a castle that pays homage to the castles and knights of the days gone by. Now a museum, it houses exhibits that showcase Toronto and Canada’s history, as well as that of the Casa Loma building itself.
After you tour the exhibits, stroll the castle gardens to enjoy its manicured gardens before heading to Blueblood Steakhouse on the second floor for dinner. The restaurant offers a modern twist on the classic Toronto steakhouse, with cuts of the finest beef from around the world, fresh seafood, and an extensive selection of wines.

Day 2: Visit the Top Attractions in Toronto

Start the second day of your 3-Day Toronto getaway with fresh air on Toronto Island—a 13-minute ferry ride from downtown Toronto. Explore the maritime attraction’s 15 islands interconnected by linkways and bridges on foot or a bike.
On weekends, the island is abuzz with the screams of joy from the Centreville Amusement Park. Kid-friendly rides like bumper cars, Ferris wheels, and antique horse carousels entertain the little ones, while the haunted house, roller coaster and log rides are a hit with older kids and grownups.
Apart from the amusement park, do check out the island resort’s beaches as well as its towering 200-year-old lighthouse.

Return to Toronto for an underwater adventure at Ripley’s Aquarium in the afternoon. Get up close to over 20,000 marine creatures at the longest underwater viewing tunnel in North America, and learn more about them at over 100 interactive stations. Carefully curated galleries invite you to take a cross-section view of saltwater and freshwater habitats worldwide.

Cap off your day at the CN Tower, Toronto’s most famous landmark. Soaring 1,815 feet, it held the title of “The world’s tallest free-standing tower” until the Burj Khalifa exceeded CN Tower’s stature in 2007. Head up to the Skypod for a panoramic view of the city and beyond, to nearby Niagara Falls.
If you feel adventurous, go on the Edgewalk at CN Tower. At 116 storeys in height, it offers a heart-pounding walk along the outside edge of the tower’s central pod. Thereafter, take the edge off (pun intended) with dinner at the 360 Restaurant. Enjoy a dramatic view of the city while the restaurant rotates, tucking into fresh Canadian seafood sourced from local producers.

Day 3: Enjoy a Day Out at the Niagara Falls

Spend your last day with a day trip down to the world-famous Niagara, visiting the region’s majestic falls, wineries, and charming sights.
The first stop on your Niagara outing is Niagara-on-the-Lake, one of Canada’s oldest settlements. Stroll along Main Street and admire the colonial architecture, which seems frozen in time. Flower displays line the street with shops selling traditional old-fashioned goods like jams and marmalades. Visit the Living Water Wayside Chapel, the world’s smallest chapel, which can only contain five people—it makes for a delightful Toronto holiday photo.
Onwards to the main event next with a Voyage to the Falls boat tour, a 20–minute boat ride that brings you close to the stunning views of the Niagara Gorge, American Falls, and iconic Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Feel the thunderous roar of up to 150,000 gallons (567,611 litres) per second of water gushing downwards, emitting a perpetual mist that enshrouds the landscape.
Follow the adrenaline rush of seeing the falls with a favourite holiday activity—shopping. The Outlet Collection at Niagara is where you can find some of the lowest prices for major brands. If you are still up for more activities, hop onto the Niagara SkyWheel, where you can get a generous view of the Niagara Falls, or pop by the Niagara Speedway for some go-kart fun.
End your Niagara excursion by the beach in style. Go horseback riding along the coast and feel the sea breeze as you trot or gallop down the sandy stretch, watching the sunset and ending your Toronto trip on a memorable note.
