Sales Executive - Leisure

The 23-floor destination hotel redefines the city's landscape with four themed open-air terraces of distinctive design concepts - Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud. 

Nestled amidst the Forest Terrace is new signature restaurant Mosella, which will introduce a sharing concept of Mediterranean cuisine with a refreshing Peruvian twist. The Beach Terrace will bring a resort-like experience to the heart of the city, and above, the Garden Terrace will be home to Florette, the Champagne & Oysters specialty bar.  At the highest levels of the Cloud Terrace, level 18 will house Orchard’s highest pillarless ballroom, Claymore Ballroom.

The Role

The Sales Executive - Leisure is responsible to develop business for leisure and adhoc groups segments and implement all travel agencies sales activities to maximize business opportunities and overall revenue for the hotel. 

Our Expectations:

  • Handles and manage key wholesales or high end / luxury travel agencies accounts under assigned portfolio. Closely monitor accounts revenue and business production for the owned portfolio.
  • Solicit and generate new accounts and group leads and work closely with the Catering Sales & Event Services to convert these leads.
  • Conduct quarterly account reviews to identify opportunities and revenue generation from the specific accounts
  • Proactively seek in-depth knowledge of accounts own to understand its total revenue impact on the hotel for better negotiation opportunities.
  • Close communications with clients to maintain high level of hotel’s exposure in his / her key feeder markets
  • Proactively participate in daily morning briefing, weekly sales meeting and sales strategy meeting.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
  • Gains understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the event.
  • Monitor the effective resolution of guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process by creating mechanisms to channel issues to property leadership and/or other appropriate stakeholders.    

Talent Profile

We are looking for a self-motivated 'hunter' with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong business acumen. You should have an eye for detail yet creative and nimble with ability to adapt to ever changing requirements and needs of customers. If you possess a Diploma or above in Sales & Marketing and have at least one year of experience handling wholesales or leisure segment or have 2 years of experience as a sales coordinator, come have a chat with us!
