About Wills Domain

Wills Domain Family Vignerons

Wills Domain estate is set on 20 hectares in the Gunyulgup Valley in Yallingup, a sub-region of the Margaret River wine region.

The vines are planted on sun-drenched northern- and western-facing slopes of the Gunyulgup Valley, which meanders along the coast to the Indian Ocean. With a maritime climate that is perfect for growing wine grapes, Wills Domain showcases fine, artisanal Margaret River wines with its two old-vine vineyards established in 1992.

Tradition, Terroir and time in the Gunyulgup Valley

From wine merchants by royal appointment in Austria in the 1380s, to vignerons in the new world wineries of Australia, the Haunold family continues their proud tradition in the ancient soils of Western Australia. The calming maritime influences combined with the site’s elevation and prehistoric red gravel soils to form a vine terroir that is celebrated around the world.

These almost-perfect conditions culminate in some of Margaret River’s most drinkable Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, along with the signature Paladin Matrix, a Bordeaux-style blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
