The Role
We are currently in the search of a Full-Time Meeting & Events Coordinator. Our Coordinator is responsible for client relationship management, sales and event planning requirements for corporate and social events.
- Actively promote hotel up sell or cross sell opportunities with all clients with a best practice approach to maximizing revenues across all meeting spaces and outlets;
- Produce accurate and timely banquet event orders and floor plans to ensure proactive;
- Communication of all useful and relevant information to clients and relevant departments;
- Accurately and efficiently, utilise the property software system (OPERA Sales and Catering) to record, in detail, all necessary aspects and requirements of individual events;
- Ensure event files and opera databases are always up to date and information is accurate.
- Maintain up to date account and contact profiles, utilising the activities function in S&C to record all account related activities. Set activities with required events details and deadlines and ensure correct account maintenance, booking revenue and database is up to date at all times.
- Utilise all aspects of the hotel’s services and facilities as and when required in order to differentiate Pan Pacific Perth from the competitor set so as to secure new and repeat business;
- Undertake other duties as requested by the Director of Sales and Marketing, which could include but not limited to selling events.
Talent Profile
About you
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in event sales or event coordination
- A sound understanding of event quoting and conversion processes with a passion to grow the hotel's portfolio of clients
- History of exceptional client service delivery
- Working knowledge of event and client management software systems
- Immaculate personal presentation and grooming, suited to a 5-star hotel environment
