The Role
- Follow-up and resolve past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved.
- Maintaining proper credit procedures throughout the Hotel in accordance with the policies and procedures.
- Answer guest and credit card inquiries concerning accounts including the documentation and preparation of adjustments if necessary on a timely basis.
- Prepare daily consolidated deposits of cash received by all cash handling associates.
- Balance accounts monthly and mail out daily and monthly statements. Review all accounts to make sure payments and/or deposits are applied.
- Prepare and maintain complete, accurate and organized records for all outstanding accounts as directed by the Director of Finance or Finance Manager.
- Assist and provide support in Income Auditor tasks, in reconciling the City Ledger totals.
- Prepare month-end AR report as required by the Management.
- Communicate promptly with the Finance Manager on any discrepancies in billing payments and other potential problems.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Director of Finance and Finance Manager.
Talent Profile
- 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a 4 or 5 star Hotel/Resort environment.
- Possesses Diploma or Degree in accounting discipline, or equivalent.
- Knowledge in SUN accounting system will be an added advantage.
- Customer-oriented (liaise with both internal customers and clients/corporate officers).
- Accurate and sharp.
- Highly motivated individual.
- Meticulous and consistently accurate in work performance.
- Honest and has high integrity.
- Able to lead and motivate staff.
- Able to resolve conflicts.
